The World of Outlaws Sprints are heading to Peavely this weekend so here’s the word from Tony Veneziano, the World of Outlaws PR Director about the weekend.
WHAT
- The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series 30th Anniversary Tour continues at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday, April 5. The series first competed at the high-banked 1/3-mile in 1987, with Brad Doty and 20-time series champion Steve Kinser picking up wins. In the 28 A-Feature events contested at the track since, 18 different drivers have visited the winner’s circle, led by Kinser’s four triumphs. Of the 20 drivers competing full-time with the series this season, nine have won at the track which is co-owned by NASCAR star Ken Schrader. Joey Saldana is the defending race winner at the track.
WHEN
- On Saturday, April 5, the Pit Gates will open Noon Central, while the Grandstand Gates will open at 3 p.m. Central and Hot Laps are tentatively set for 6:15 p.m. Central.
WHERE
- I-55 Raceway is located in Pevely, Missouri. Take I-55 to Herculaneum exit (#178), then travel east on U.S. 61/67, go north to Herky-Horine Road, then 1/2-mile west.

- I-55 Raceway is a high-banked 1/3-mile oval. The track record of 10.189 second was established by Stevie Smith on March 30, 2002.
