TSR’s Schatz, Jones Lead World of Outlaws & USAC Sprint Series Standings

Indianapolis – Tony Stewart Racing’s USAC and World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series drivers continue to move toward claiming several 2009 championship titles following a weekend of pavement and dirt racing.

Donny Schatz continues to lead the WoO Sprint Series standings with 4,469 points. He leads second place ranked Joey Saldana by 76 points heading into this week’s events at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD, and Eagle (Neb.) Raceway.

Levi Jones took the lead in the USAC National Sprint Car Series standings with an eighth place finish at Richmond International Raceway (RIR.) Jones leads second place, Dave Darland, by two points.

Jones and his TSR teammate, Tracy Hines, will compete at Winchester Speedway in the USAC Sprint Series division on July 2nd. The duo will also compete at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway on July 3.

USAC Indiana Sprint Week will commence on July 10th at Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway, with the eight race series wrapping up at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., on July 18th.

Hines, who is ranked second in the USAC Silver Crown Series standings with 126 points, is also ranked 6th in the USAC Sprint Series standings and 5th in the USAC Midget Series championship.

TSR’s Kraig Kinser, who claimed his third top-four finish in as many races at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway on Saturday night, moved into eighth in the WoO Sprint Series points.
