Tracy Hines Returns to Action This Weekend

Tracy Hines, driver of the No. 21 TSR/CHEVROLET/BEAST in the USAC National Midget Car Series may return to action this weekend at Phoenix.  Here’s the information from Tony Stewart Racing.

Thus., Nov. 8 – Phoenix International Raceway – (one-mile pavement oval) – USAC Midget Series

  •  Hines is entered in the Nov. 8 Copper World Classic event at PIR.
  • He will make a decision as to his racing status prior to the first practice session on Thursday morning.
  • Hines has not competed since April 28, 2007. He sustained injuries in an off-road motorcycle accident on April 30 at his Indiana home.
  • Following reconstructive surgery on his right knee, Hines has participated in daily out-patient therapy at St. Vincent’s Sports Performance Center in Indianapolis.
  • In his last appearance at PIR on Jan. 22, 2007, Hines finished 14th in USAC Midget Series competition.
