Josh Richards Wins Vault World Finals
Charlotte - Josh Richards finished the World of Outlaws Late Model Series season the same way he started. In victory lane. With the win, Josh clinched 2nd place in the standings.
Josh’s evening started out with a 3rd spot start in his heat race, and a 2nd place finish.
The A Main started with Josh in 8th place and after 36 hard fought laps he took over the lead. For the next 14 laps, and 2 cautions, Josh fought with Earl Pearson Jr, finally nipping him for the win.
The race was broadcast live on SPEED but unfortunately they decided that the Late Models weren’t worth much TV time as they decided to show only the 3rd Last Chance Race and the A Main.

INDIANAPOLIS (TSR) – The calendar says it’s been a year since Kraig Kinser made his return to the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series at the inaugural World Finals last October. For the past 12 months, the 24 year-old driver of the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/JD Byrider Maxim has regained his spot among Sprint car racing’s elite, and his goal for this weekend’s VAULT World Finals from The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway is to continue his late-season surge during the final two nights of racing for 2008.
Schatz Eyes Third Outlaws Title As Season Concludes in Charlotte
INDIANAPOLIS (TSR) – A champion will tell you that capturing that first title is the most difficult, and once you have it in your hands, you’ll never want to let it go. Since winning his first Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series championship in October 2006, Donny Schatz has done everything he can to not leave Sprint Car racing’s top spot. Following last year’s WoO title, he joined Tony Stewart Racing (TSR), and by simply taking the green flag behind the wheel of the TSR No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J in both feature events during this weekend’s VAULT World Finals at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway, he’ll clinch his third straight WoO championship.
