SHINNSTON, W. Va. – Misfortune in Saturday night’s 23rd annual USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., dampened what was shaping up as a memorable trip to the Badger State for Josh Richards.
After scoring a fourth place finish in the 50 lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series event on Wednesday night (Aug. 4) at Shawano Speedway and a bridesmaid outing in the 40 lap UMP DIRTcar-sanctioned feature on Thursday night (Aug. 5) at Cedar Lake, Richards appeared primed for a run at a $50,000 crown-jewel victory.

SHAWANO, WI – Billy Moyer was perfect in Wednesday night’s blockbuster World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Shawano Speedway.
Twenty-one years after falling short of victory in the national tour’s only previous appearance at the half-mile fairgrounds oval, the three-time WoO LMS champion from Batesville, Ark., capped a sweep of the evening’s action with a convincing win in the 50-lap A-Main that was run before a capacity crowd.
