Indianapolis, IN – Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. grabbed the lead from Bobby East on lap 64 and led the final 37 laps to win Thursday night’s “J.D. Byrider 100” USAC Silver Crown race at O’Reilly Raceway Park, part of the track’s 2010 Kroger SpeedFest.
Hines piloted the Aristocrat Products Beast/Gaerte to the win over Levi Jones, Jacob Wilson, Brad Sweet and Bobby East.
Sweet won the pole but Ryan Newman started second and led the opening lap. Sweet and Kody Swanson also led laps before East took over on lap 35.
Bud Kaeding finished seventh and emerged with a 34-point series lead over Jones.

Indianapolis – Ryan Newman will go for the “double” Thursday at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Ind. His entry has now been received for the USAC Mopar Midget Series event, following the recent announcement of his participation in Thursday night’s “J.B. Byrider 100” USAC Silver Crown race.
Newman will pilot a Tony Stewart Racing Bass Pro Shops Beast/Chevy in his first USAC Midget race since a 2007 race at Phoenix International Raceway. That race ended as soon as it started and he never completed a lap. In 2006, however, he finished third in a USAC Midget at the Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway.

Indianapolis, IN – In a race that went green from lap 3 till the checkers, Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass. became the first driver to win in all three 2009 USAC National racing series with his victory in Thursday night’s 100-lap “J.D. Byrider 100” at O’Reilly Raceway Park. Santos grabbed the lead from pole starter Chet Fillip on lap 28 and led the rest of the way, averaging 109.224 mph in his Santos Motor Sports Beast/Performance Technology K & N Silver Crown car.
