Stewarts racing suit to be auctioned off for charity

September 26th, 2007

Old Spice is partnering with Tony Stewart — two-time Cup champion and current contender in this year’s Chase — to give one lucky fan the Old Spice race-worn suit right off his back!

Featuring unique “Armpit Advertising” patches, this one-of-a-kind suit made its debut in July, worn by Stewart in Old Spice ads promoting the 2007 NASCAR Collector Series High Endurance products. These limited edition deodorants and body washes are currently available in three different, collectible NASCAR-themed designs, including one with Stewart’s likeness.

Stewart — who has been sponsored by Old Spice for the past seven seasons — also wore the suit in two Busch Series races (Chicagoland Speedway on July 14 and Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 18). He will wear it one final time during this week’s race at the Kansas Speedway.

Immediately following the Kansas City race — which marks Stewart’s final Busch race for the 2007 season driving the No. 33 Old Spice car — he will autograph and hand over the Old Spice racing suit to a charity auction for The Tony Stewart Foundation. The charity auction will run for one week starting Oct. 1. Fans can visit www.OldSpice.com or www.TonyStewart.com to get more details and place a bid on eBay.

Throughout the 2007 season, every time Stewart wins a Nextel Cup or Busch Series race, he partners with Old Spice to auction off his Victory Lane towel for charity. Fans can visit www.OldSpice.com or www.TonyStewart.com for more information on how to place a bid for upcoming Old Spice victory towels on eBay.

The Tony Stewart Foundation raises and donates funds to help care for chronically ill children, drivers injured in motorsports activities and to support other charitable organizations in the protection of various animal species.
