Another excellent Saturday night race. Except for Gordon getting back around Tony at the end. Started 9th and finished 2nd and I don’t believe Tony was ever out of the top ten.
Would have been nice to see Tony win for Zippy’s 40th birthday.
Denny Hamlin drove a heck of a race. Coming back from his pit road ticket to 3rd place proves what a great driver he is.
J.J. just can’t seem to get a break. After running wel all night he gets taken out in somebody elses wreck. Again.
Whether you like Gordon or not, you have to admit that tying Dale Earnhardt for 6th place on the all time wins list is quite an accomplishment. I thought it was a nice touch that he carried the #3 flag for his victory lap. Of course if he hadn’t been killed at Daytona, who knows how many wins he would have by now.
