Monte Dunn It Again

Monte Dunn has another good column this week, NASCAR This Week. That’s not unusual and I wouldn’t normally post just to say Monte did it again. What really caught my eye was this picture, over the column.

Richmond International Raceway

That is the coolest picture of Richmond I think I’ve ever seen. There’s no credit line to it so I don’t know if it’s something Monte shot or is from someone else but I think it’s just gorgeous and wanted to share it.

By the way, in case you missed it, ESPN is preempting the race tonight so they can show a basketball game. Kind of shows you where NASCAR fits in their minds. The race will be onESPNClassic.

    Intrepid blog slave Ovalscream googled that pic of Richmond. It comes from a Capitol Region USA website. Actually I posted it with the wrong story, originally — it was first posted with Monte’s Richmond “notebook” and now appears with his post on the glories of the Richmond track, “Best of all possible worlds … or tracks” Boo on ESPN for jilting the Nationwide race. May their basketball game blow a head gasket.
