NASCAR Drivers Walk for Alzheimer’s Association
Hartford, Ohio – NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney will take a break from the racing action to participate in a walk that will benefit the Greater East Ohio Area Alzheimer’s Association on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Sharon Speedway during the “ Ollie’s 360 Challenge, Race with the Stars”.
Fans who want to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association will also have a unique opportunity when they will be invited to join these drivers for a one lap walk around the 3/8 mile track.
For race fans interested in attending the event you can get more information and purchase tickets at www.sharonspeedway.com. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the racing will begin at 6:00 p.m. Staff from the Alzheimer’s Association will have tables set up to share information about our programs and support services. “We are thrilled and grateful that Sharon Speedway has given us an opportunity to help raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and the many programs we offer families in our community,” said Pam Schuellerman, Executive Director.
The Alzheimer’s Association is committed to supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders through education, advocacy and research. All proceeds from the event will help fund the programs and support services that the Alzheimer’s Association provides for the 60,000 people with Alzheimer’s disease and their 250,000 family members in the Greater East Ohio Area.
