HE SAID IT…
LEVI JONES ON THE No. 20 TEAM’S DISAPPOINTING EARLY EXIT AT ANDERSON SPEEDWAY:
“Having our night end on lap five of the feature definitely wasn’t the way we wanted to follow up last week’s win in the midget. We were really good in practice and when we went out for qualifying we just missed it a little bit. The entire field was really close in qualifying, you had to really have the setup right in order to break into the top-10. We did well in the heat race, it’s always a good thing to come out of your heat at such a tight track like Anderson. We thought we were going to have a good shot at moving up in the feature when the ignition went out early on. We’ll put this behind us and focus everything on the three races at Eldora later this week. I’m ready to head back to Eldora for the first time since April and I think we’re going to have a great shot at putting Chevy and Bass Pro Shops back in victory lane in any of the three divisions.”
