HE SAID IT…

LEVI JONES ON THE FRUSTRATION OF RAINOUTS AND THE TEAM’S TOP-10 FINISH AT ANGELL PARK SPEEDWAY:
“The weekend didn’t work out as we’d planned; the weather pretty much took over on Friday and Saturday. We had made arrangements to make sure that both the No. 20 and the No. 21 teams were as prepared as possible for the travel and the different events but sometimes plans just don’t work out the way you want them to.

When we finally did get to race at Angell Park on Sunday we had a pretty good night. We qualified seventh and finished a solid second in the semi-feature. The red flag on lap 19 probably didn’t help us out too much. Up until that point we’d been battling for fourth place. We ended up seventh and gain a few points in the midget series championship. The schedule changes also ended up being something of a bonus, as they guys were able to test some things on my car at Angell Park on Saturday night. I think that helped us quite a bit even though I wish I could have raced both nights. Even though we didn’t I’m glad we were able to put in a top-10 finish for Chevrolet and Bass Pro Shops.”
