HE SAID IT… ON THE TEAM’S PERFORMANCE AT IOWA SPEEDWAY:

“I am pretty bummed about how our weekend ended up. We were fast in practice and it kind of went downhill from there. Before the midget feature we decided to change the gear and the car just didn’t like it. It didn’t react the way we’d hoped it would and all I could do was try to maintain where I was running and not let too many people pass me. We also really missed Tracy’s (Hines, teammate) input today. He’s really a great asset to our team and we all wish him the best as he continues to recover.”

“We were decent in the sprint feature, but again our practice times didn’t transfer to the feature. The team did a great job getting the engine in the sprint car changed very quickly. I really have to thank them for working hard to get us set the feature. There is definitely room for improvement and I know that we and the engineers from Chevrolet will work very hard between now and our next pavement races to get us back up to where we need to be. I am really looking forward to taking the midget to Tri-State Speedway this weekend. It’s going to be a good time. We’ll have a great shot at getting Chevrolet and Bass Pro Shops their first USAC National Midget Car Series victory this Saturday.”
