Dustin Long writes that while at the Performance Racing Industry show in Orlando he ran into Ken Schrader and the two visited for a while. One part of the conversation included talk about WoO Late Model Series Champion Josh Richards.
Long: What will you do in 2010?
SCHRADER: I’d like to run the Truck or ARCA car more. We’re going to run some races in both of them with Federated and Federated sponsors all the dirt car races. Now, we’ve still got some cars that … we’re renting out to other people. We’ll have two cars at Daytona for the ARCA race. Bill Baird and Josh Richards (will drive). Josh Richards won the World of Outlaw late model championship. Really promising. He’s 21. We’ve tested him a couple of times and ran him in one Camping World East race. He did awesome. … Going fast in circles. That’s it. That’s all he thinks about (and why Schrader likes him).

Josh ran 2 ARCA events in 2009. The July Kentucky Race for Venturini Motorsports and the September Duquoin race for Tony Stewart/Venturini. He also ran 3 NASCAR Camping World East races, Greenville Pickens for Ken Schrader Racing and New Hampshire and Dover. I’m not sure who the owner was for New Hampshire and Dover since they aren’t listed on his website.
Just speculating here but maybe in a couple years we’ll see Josh in either a Stewart-Haas or Kevin Harvick car or truck.
