Friday Night’s Copper on Dirt Rained Out

Phoenix - Rains forced postponement of Friday’s scheduled preliminaries for the “Copper on Dirt” USAC racing events at Manzanita Speedway.
The new schedule for Saturday will have the pit gates opening at 7 am. Practice begins at 10:15 and qualifying starts at 10:30.
The first heat race starts at 12:45 pm.
There will be a break in mid-afternoon to allow preparation for Saturday night’s final events. A 25-lap Midget, 40-lap Sprint and 50-lap Silver Crown feature will conclude Saturday night’s program.
120 cars have signed in for the triple-header.
