Defending sprint champ Jones hoping to fulfill Cup dream
Greg Billing at the Dyton Daily News reported Saturday that
The USAC national sprint car drivers are chasing defending champ Levi Jones and his points title. Jones, meanwhile, is in pursuit of a different group of drivers.
Jones wants to follow the groove left by former USAC drivers and current NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Dave Blaney, Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart and J.J. Yeley.
Seems Levi wants to move into the world of NASCAR. Can’t really blame him since that’s where the money is. Maybe all the stories a couple weeks ago about Tony becoming an NASCAR owner will come true.
