Alger, WA-September 4, 2010- Steve Kinser and Joey Saldana have been neck and neck for most of the season in the World of Outlaws championship standings, as well as on the track and off the track in most statistical categories. That battle got even closer Saturday night at Skagit Speedway, as the duo traded the lead a couple of times at the high-banked three-tenths-mile bullring, with Kinser coming out on top in the $20,000 finale of the two-day show to move to within just six markers of Saldana in points as he chases his record 21st title.

The Tony Stewart Racing World of Outlaws Sprint teams were at Skagit Speedway Saturday night as the Gold Rush Tour continued out West. Steve Kinser entered the night 10 points behind leader Joey Saldana in the points standings. Jessica Zemken was at Knoxville Raceway to race with the 410 Sprints. Josh Richards and the World of Outlaws Late Models were rained out at Tri-City Speedway. Here’s how they did.

Alger, WA – Jac Haudenschild and Tim Kaeding are certainly two of the most exciting drivers to ever climb into a sprint car, and on Friday night at Skagit Speedway in Washington, the pair lived up to this moniker, as they battled tooth and nail in heavy traffic in the opener of the World of Outlaws two-day event at the high-banked three-tenths-mile bullring
Officially they traded the lead four times, but in one stretch of two laps they unofficially swapped the top spot five times, trading slide jobs on both ends of the race track. Haudenschild would end up coming out on top to earn his third A-Feature win of the season and his first career triumph at Skagit.

It’s a busy Labor Day Weekend for the Tony Stewart Racing teams and the points races as the seasons wind down are getting tighter. On the World of Outlaws Sprint side 20 time champion Steve Kinser is in 2nd place, 36 points back of Joey Saldana. Donny Schatz rests in 4th, 147 points back with time running out. Josh Richards leads the World of Outlaws Late Model Series by 8 points over Darrell Lanigan with Tim McCreadie 48 points back. Levi Jones leads the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car Series by 72 points over Damion Gardner and sits 4th in the USAC Silver Crown Series 57 points back of Bud Kaeding. Jones’ Silver Crown teammate Bryan Clauson is currently 9th, 99 points back.
