Benson Also a Winning Track Owner
Tim Packman has a very good article about Johnny Benson, track owner over at TruckSeries.com. Here’s an excerpt:
Johnny Benson is known for his on-track endeavors in all three series of NASCAR racing.He was the 1996 Nextel Cup Raybestos’ Rookie of the Year, the 1995 Busch Series champion and is also a winner in the Craftsman Truck Series ranks. But, there’s more to the experienced and talented driver with a winning resume.
Benson is also a track owner.
The native of Grand Rapids, MI became involved with his home track of Berlin Raceway several years ago. Before you think he owns the whole thing, he wants everyone to know he’s a part owner of the facility under a limited liability partnership.
He just happens to own the most well-known name of the ownership group.

I like Benson and I was born in Grand Rapids. My mom went to school with Benson Sr. and according to her he had a crush on her all through high school. Beckwith High I think. Good post Mike.
