Friday night was an interesting night at the computer as I watched one race, while listening to two others at the same time. It was an interesting test of my multi-tasking abilities.
In the watching department, it was the TSR duo of Tracy Hines and Levi Jones battling in the USAC Sprint cars at Richmond International Raceway via Indy500.com. The stands looked pretty empty at Jerry Coons beat out Tracy Hines by 2.4 seconds with Damion Gardner taking 3rd by 1/10 of a second over Tracy Jones.
You’ll be able to watch Saturdays Silver Crown race at Indy500.com also. The Silver Crown pre-race is at 4:45 with the 100 lap race scheduled to start at 5:15.
Over on Dirtvision.com was the World Of Outlaws Late Model Series and Josh Richards winning his heat race in the first night of the Firecracker 100 weekend at Lernerville Speedway . The win puts Josh in the $40,000 to win Firecracker 100 on Saturday. You can catch that one Dirtvision.com also with live audio starting at 7:00 pm.
On the World of Outlaws Sprint side of Dirtvision.com, it was the Dual in the Dakotas as the outlaws were at River City Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It was here, 15 years ago that a 15 year old Donny Schatz climbed into a WoO Sprint car for the first time and came home in 15th place. Ironically, the car was number 15. Now 15 years and two WoO championships later, Donny was back. Things didn’t go quite the way he had hoped as Donny started 4th in the first heat and made contact with Jac Haudenschild, damaging the front axle of the Armor-All machine. Donny came back to the speedway 2 laps down and finished 8th. He then started on the pole of the Last Chance Showdown and was never headed, dominating thre race.
Kraig Kinser had a better start to his evening as he started 6th in the fourth heat race and finished in the 4th spot. Kraig started in position 20 in the feature while Donny started 11th. Kraig brought out the red flag as he rolled his car on lap 28. By that time, Donny had moved up to 6th. Donny moved up to 4th and then Jac Haudenschild made a mistake and went from 1st to 8th. Jason Meyers and Kerry Madsen battled for the lead and wound up crashing putting Donny into the lead.
When the race restarted with 5 laps to go Donny and Craig Dollansky traded the lead a couple times before Donny was able to pull away and score the victory. Joey Saldana was third, Sam Hafertepe Jr. finished 4 and Daryn Pittman rounded out the top 5.
All in all, it was a great night to be a TOny Stewart Racing fan. A 2nd and 4 in Richmond, a win in Pennsylvania and a win adnd 21st in North Dakota. I will admit that it was a little schizophrenic watching one race while listening to 2 others.

Well thats cool about tommorrow night. More that I can watch. Watching tonights race was cool. Jeni watched more of it than she did TV. She is a champ.
Thanks again for the heads up. Hope I can catch tommorrow nights….uhhhhm tonights race.
