Jones Leads Tony Stewart Racing Sweep at Angell Park

Sun Prairie, WI – Levi Jones of Avon, Ind. led a 1-2 “sweep” for the Tony Stewart Racing Team in Sunday night’s 30-lap “Hall of Fame Classic” USAC Mopar National Midget feature at Angell Park Speedway. Teammate Tracy Hines finished second to solidify his series point lead. Jones trailed Dave Darland for 20 laps, then put his Chevy/Bass Pro Shops Spike/Chevy in the lead on lap 21 and led the final 10 laps for the win. Darland ended up third ahead of Cole Whitt and Darren Hagen. The race, presented by the Sun Prairie Tourism Commission and Miller Genuine Draft, was co-sanctioned by BMARA.

Kuhn Tops USAC/Badger Field at Angell Park

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Brad Kuhn, executed a late-race pass to win Saturday Night’s 30-lap “National Midget Hall of Fame Classic Round One” at Angell Park Speedway. The event was co-sanctioned by the USAC Mopar National and Badger Midget Car Series.

Levi Jones moved into the lead at the start, with Jerry Coons Jr. quickly moving into second place on lap 2. Two separate spins, two laps later involved Tracy Hines and Brad Sweet, both of whom restarted from the back of the field. Jones and Coons again pulled away from the field, with Coons gaining the top position on lap 7.Within a lap Coons moved to a one second lead. Two more cautions appeared for minor spins on lap 9.

Meyers Wins Finale of Oil City Cup at Castrol Raceway

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada — Jason Meyers was part of history on Saturday night in the finale of the Oil City Cup Presented by Boston Pizza, as he won a thrilling dual with two-time defending Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz and 20-time champion Steve Kinser, before a capacity crowd, to pick up his eighth A-Feature win of the season. The crowd was the largest in the history of Castrol Raceway, and they saw Meyers become the fourth driver in the same number of events with the World of Outlaws to win at the track.

Haudenschild Takes Friday Nights Oil City Cup Feature

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada — For many drivers, having to change an engine prior to an Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Feature event would be means for concern, especially if they were scheduled to start on the pole position of the main event, but not for Jac Haudenschild. The veteran driver has one of the hardest working teams in the pit area led by crew chief Leonard Lee, and after winning the Crane Cams Dash to earn the top starting spot for the main event on Friday night in the second annual Oil City Cup Presented by Boston Pizza at Castrol Raceway, Haudenschild and his team were forced to change engines after losing a cylinder.
