Donny Schatz is the 2008 Knoxville Nationals Champion

Donny Schatz started the A Main in 4th and after battling leader Jason Meyers for 26 laps, took the lead.  Caution came out on lap 27 setting up a 3 lap shootout, but Schatz ran away from him.

Kraig Kinser started 13th in the B mAIN. On the first lap the red flag came when Roger Crockett, who was in 12th, got to high in turn one and flipped along the fence pretty hard.  Once the race restarted it went green for all 22 laps.  Kraig moved up to 10th quickly but never got beyond that.  Daryn Pittman got the win and moved on to the A Main.
