Tony Registered for Knoxville Nationals

Knoxville, Iowa – Tony Stewart will again be in Knoxville, Iowa late this September to compete in the 5th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals September 25-27, 2008 will make Stewart’s 3rd appearance at the event.

In 2006 Stewart took second place in the national event just behind the 3S of Brian Shirley. When Stewart pulled into the pits after the finish everyone was surprised to see he had a flat tire.

In 2007 the #20 was scheduled to race but decided to focus on the Sprint Cup event in Kansas City that same weekend. Stewart felt he owed it to his Joe Gibbs Team to remain focused and healthy as he was sitting second in points when the chase began.

Schatz Searching for the Sun

INDIANAPOLIS – In Sprint Car racing, being patient isn’t the easiest thing for a driver to do. With consecutive weekends of race cancellations thanks to rainouts in both Mississippi and California, two-time defending Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz has been forced to watch weather reports rather than study set-up sheets for Pike County Speedway and Thunderbowl Raceway.

Weekends off aren’t the norm for these modern-day Outlaws, and Schatz is ready to get back into his regular routine behind the wheel of the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J on Saturday night.

With the weather forecast looking optimistic for Saturday’s fifth annual Cactus Classic at the famed Manzanita Speedway near Phoenix, Schatz is aiming to continue his

Rolling into Phoenix

INDIANAPOLIS – Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) and driver Kraig Kinser roll into Phoenix this weekend hoping the area’s nickname Valley of the Sun will indeed ring true as, after two consecutive weeks of rainouts, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series is ready to get back on track. Kinser and the WoO Sprint Series will make their first of two appearances at Manzanita Speedway on Saturday.

This weekend’s race will mark Kinser’s first appearance at the facility since Oct. 11, 2005, when he finished 12th. In four career starts at the facility, Kinser has earned two top-10 finishes. In the WoO Sprint Series’ last event at Manzanita on Oct. 19, 2007, Danny Lasoski was the victor. Kinser’s TSR teammate Donny Schatz took the checkered flag in

Stewart Rallies to Seventh in SoCal

Tony Stewart finished a solid seventh in the rain-delayed Auto Club 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the newly named Auto Club Speedway of Southern California in Fontana.

In a race that struggled to find a rhythm, as wet weather plagued the event by delaying the start of Sunday’s race by over two-and-half hours and halting it twice before it could be completed on Monday, Stewart’s No. 20 Home Depot Toyota struggled to stay in the top-10.

The two-time Sprint Cup champion started sixth and quickly climbed to third by just the third lap around the two-mile oval, but Stewart eventually started going backward – a slide that was halted only temporarily when NASCAR officials red-flagged the race on lap 22 for water seepage.

The heavy rains that

Stewart Makes a ‘Z-Line’ to Victory Lane at Fontana

Tony Stewart dominated Monday’s rain-postponed Stater Bros. 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the newly named Auto Club Speedway of Southern California in Fontana by leading three times for a race-high 136 laps en route to his fourth career Nationwide Series victory and his second consecutive win in 2008.

“The Z-Line Designs Toyota was awesome today,” said Stewart, who won last weekend’s season-opening Nationwide Series race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. “This thing drove well all day today. Dave Rogers (crew chief) and the Z-Line Designs team did an awesome job.”

Stewart wheeled his No. 20 Z-Line Designs Toyota from second in the 42-car field, as the grid was set by final 2007 car owner points after qualifying was rained-out.
