Previewing the World of Outlaws at Skagit Speedway

World of Outlaws Sprint Car SeriesAlger, WA – Skagit Speedway in Washington was one of the track that hosted the World of Outlaws during the inaugural 1978 season and also the next year as well, and after a couple of hiatuses, the track has now become a staple during the Gold Rush Tour, with the series visiting the high-banked three-tenths-mile bullring each and every year since 2006. That tradition will continue this week, as the World of Outlaws visit the track located in the always scenic Pacific Northwest on Friday, September 3 and Saturday, September 4, with $20,000 awaiting the winner on Saturday night, with both nights being full racing programs.

Danny Lasoski Wins at Cottage Grove Speedway to Snap 77-Race Winless Streak

World of Outlaws Sprint Car SeriesCottage Grove, OR – Danny Lasoski certainly didn’t forget how to get to Victory Lane with the World of Outlaws, despite having gone 77 consecutive races without a victory dating back to July of 2009. He returned to a very familiar place on Wednesday night and that was the winner’s circle at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon, as he scored his first win of 2010 and the fourth of his career with the series at the high-banked ¼-mile bullring.

Richards Registers First-Ever 100-Lap Victory In Mohawk International Raceway’s ‘Battle At Eastern Door’

World of Outlaws Dirt Late ModelsAKWESASNE, NY – Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., registered the biggest win of his career on Wednesday night, capturing the rescheduled World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Battle At Eastern Door’ at Mohawk International Raceway.

The triumph was important to the 22-year-old sensation for many reasons. It broke him out of a summer slump, brought him a personal-high feature-win payoff of $20,775, pushed him back into the WoO LMS points lead and, most notably, gave him his long-awaited first 100-lap A-Main checkered flag as a dirt Late Model driver.

Tony Stewart Racing Results for Wednesday 9/1

Josh Richards was at Mohawk International Raceway for the “Battle at Eastern Door 100″. Josh started 10th and WON his first 100 lap race. Along with the $20,000 check, Josh took home the World of Outlaws Late Models points lead.

Ted Horn 100 Returns to the Magic Mile

USAC NewsOne year after getting completely washed out by Mother Nature the Ted Horn 100 USAC Silver Crown Championship Series race returns to light up the night at the 88th DuQuoin State Fair on Sunday, September 5. A large number of USAC’s top stars are expected for the 100-mile grind which began in 1949 and has been held annually except when rained out in 1950, 1962 and 2009.
